On Wednesday, 3rd December 2014, the 10th International Conference on the transmission, distribution and electricity market Energija14 successfully concluded in Opatia, Croatia.
The tenth Energija14 event was the absolute regional energy summit, linking together major regional stakeholders with a record of more than 180 participants and lecturers. All the important representatives and energy policy makers from Europe and beyond, mainly from Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Finland, Croatia, Italy, Hungary, Germany, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Serbia, Switzerland and Turkey, have discussed the most up-to-date issues. Among others also Yetík K. Mert, CEO of the largest energy company in Turkey, Enerjisa Enerji, Tadhg O’Brian from the European Commission, and Hans ten Berge, Secretary General of the Energy Association of Eurelectric.
The most up-to-date key issues were discussed: From CRM introduction to the regional cooperation on the investment side; from trading perspectives after the market coupling in the region to the new business models on the retail side of the value chain.
Conference Chairman, Tomaž Orešič, Director of Business Development in VaasaETT Oy., expressed his great pleasure in the success of the conference as a whole, of the number of participants from various countries with a great interest in the energy market in the region and the current issues. He adds that once again the event showed that the energy market in Southeast Europe raises a lot of interest and at the same time poses significant challenges in the future.
